What this site is
HuntSpot covers hunting gear selection. Every category page lists the brands that build that kind of kit, and every brand page is a table of that brand's current lineup — model, tier, and what each one is actually for.
The site deliberately does not cover concealed carry, self-defence handguns or backyard bird feeding. Those are different subjects with different audiences, and mixing them in makes the hunting advice harder to trust and harder to find.
How the tables are compiled
Model names, specifications and price bands come from manufacturers' own product pages and from published buyer's guides, and each brand page carries the date its table was compiled. Nothing in a table is estimated or filled in to make a row look complete.
Where a brand matters in a category but we have not verified its current lineup, it is listed as not yet covered rather than tabulated from memory. A visible gap is more useful than a confident guess.
The 2026 rebuild
This site was rebuilt from the ground up in July 2026. The previous version ran on WordPress with an affiliate plugin that had stopped working, which left more than a thousand broken product blocks rendering as raw shortcode text, and sixty-five published pages that had a title and a URL but no content at all.
In the rebuild, 200 guides were cleaned and kept, and 91 URLs were retired — every one of them redirected to the page that now covers its subject. Titles carrying a stale "2018" stamp were repaired. Dead affiliate wrappers were unwrapped so the product links point at the product again.
How we make money
Some outbound product links are affiliate links, which pay a commission if you buy through them at no extra cost to you. They do not change what goes in a table or what order the rows are in. See the affiliate disclosure for the detail.
Hunt legally
Regulations on baiting, calling, decoys, blaze orange requirements and legal hunting hours vary by state and by season. Nothing here is a substitute for your state wildlife agency's current regulations — check them before you hunt.
